The 1953 jacket is a rendition of a 50s Type 2 jacket with an updated fabric and modern fit.
- 100% Cotton 10oz Japanese Canvas.
- Pleated body with a 2-pocket front.
- Custom milled raw iron buttons and rivets.
- Constructed using vintage Union Special sewing machines.
The fabric is a high quality Japanese mid-weight compact canvas with a soft hand. It is an ideal fabrication for spring/summer. It will patina over time with wear along with the buttons.
The fit is modified with a boxy body and spacious sleeve. We've added extra pleats to give the jacket more shape and ability to layer with shirting or sweaters. The 1953 jacket has slight drop shoulder
Please take note of the sizing. We recommend size small for those under 5'8" and medium for those over. Large and XL take your true to size.
